Welcome to the new CP.
Changes:
* spying missions only count towards your limit per day against someone if a spy gets caught.
* I have introduced some AI players to the game, the code is very much a prototype, so i dont expect them to do all that well, however they should provide good farming oppertunities later on in the cp.

Welcome back to foe, appologies for the downtime for the past few days, it was only supposed to last an hour or two but there were some problems moving things over.
Good news is everyone accumulated gold during at least part of the downtime and i have moved all that gold into a bank so everyone will have a change to spend it.

ok - i've made some big backend changes to the way logins are handled to facilitate better online/offline monitoring. There may still be bugs in this, if anyone has trouble logging in/staying logged in please let me know.
Secondally, due to the poll showing a preferance for longer campaigns, this campaign will last 8 weeks.
Only change i've made this time arround is to increase the rate at which gold from sold weapons becomes avaliable to be stolen, while this dosn't allow sell offs totally, it will allow some money to be stolen if people arn't quick about spending it.

A bug has developed in the online/offline status, unfortunatly i'm unable to fix it while the game is running so it will remain broken until the CP ends tommorow. To give me extra time to fix this, i've brought the cp end forward by 2 hours, now finishing at 2pm GMT rather than 4pm.

Welcome to the new campaign.
Only a few changes this time. Firstly turns are now every 15 mins, ranks also update every 15 mins 5 mins after each turn. The second change is a slight change in the rankings - income and farming now count, however there is a weighting in the ranks making attack and defence more important.

Welcome to the new Campaign - Rise of the Deities
Before i tell you about the new changes i would like to remind all players about the report system. If you believe a player is abusing any of the rules, we need to know about it. Go to their profile and click the report link, tell us what you know. If we need to know more an admin will contact you. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE CHEATERS WILL BE CAUGHT WE NEED YOUR HELP. If you wish to report a pm you must click the report link in your inbox next to the relevant PM else, we cannot deal with it. Players will be warned if they have 2 PM reports upheld. Any more than this and their messaging rights will be suspended.
1. SELLOFFS - Firstly the admins would like to congratulate HON and ER for their collective dominance of the game, all the players have proved themselves to be exceptional. However, it seems to be an unfortunate fact that most of these players ruin their own accounts, and the game as a whole by selling to one big alliance account at the end of the game. During recent campaigns this practice has, although being very necessary, proved to be very unpopular. From this campaign the admins have launched an anti-sell system to prevent users selling to each other. Users may still sell their weapons to buy buildings upgrades, but they will not be able to transfer that gold to any other account. Purchase your upgrade quick, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The administration looks forward to seeing which individuals will flourish under the new system.
2. WEAPONS - At the moment covert and shipping weapons are priced strangely, these values will be rounded off to make maths that little bit easier.
3. GODS - A free change is available each week
4. UPGRADES - Will have to be changed slightly to make the top upgrades slightly more "worth it"
5. BONUSES - Celts bonus is now 35%
6. POPULATION - Is at the moment very important for stats such as covert. To reduce the number of spies required we will be increasing the cost of covert weapons dramatically.
7. ALLIANCE RANKINGS - At the moment individual ranking is taken very seriously, and sell offs are given by many alliance members. We wish to reward an alliance with consistently good players, and many of them. At the moment the rankings system is more determined on the number of members. We will be changing the rankings algorigthm to reward the top players in an alliance much more greatly.
8. ATTACKING - You may attack each player 10 times a day. A siege counts as two attacks.

In accodance with rules 1,3 and 4 of the Fallofempires fair play rules the admins have taken the decision to remove weapons out of Strong Dracula's account to the tune of approximately 3 Trillion gold.
This is due to an illegal sell off which occured between members of his alliance who share his ip address to the value of 2 trillion gold.
Taking into account the rate of inflation in game and the measures Strong Dracula went to to attempt to conceal this breach of the rules of which he had been previously warned the administration deem this punishment to be fair.
To ensure fair play all around all top accounts will be checked for similar foul play before the end of the campaign.
If you are unfamiliar with the Fallofempires rules please see below:
1. Accounts that directly benifit from accounts banned or suspeneded for cheating may have stats reduced.
-for example, if you recieve a sell off from an account that was given because the account holder found out that we were going to ban them we may deduct the value of the sell from the value of your account.
2. Creating accounts purly for slave farming/gold farming to give an end of age boost is considered an unfair practive, such accounts may be banned after being given a warning or randomly sold off without warning by the admins in this case everyone has a fair chance to benifit from the account.
3. Your account is your account, anyone found to be logging into other peoples accounts to gain an unfair advantage may find weapons deleted, sold off, or their account suspended without warning. If you share an IP Address with a player, you are encouraged not to engage in attack with them as this may be misconstrewed as mal-practice by the admins.
4. Any practice that an admin deems to be unfair can be punished for, after giving fair notice to cease the practice and having that notice ignored.

I've created a bit of an experimental feature which i think people might appreciate.

using your spy data, it compiles a farm list and tells you approximatly how much str etc you will need to beat them.

Welcome to the new campaign, thanks to everyone who waited patiently for the start.
We've added a few new features to the game, the first was hotly requested for a while, the ability to mass pm alliance members.
The second is there to add a bit more variety to the game, each race now has 6 gods to choose from, depending on the god you choose to worship, you get a 5% bonus in a stat.
The third is a change to officer/commander bonuses. Officers now give a 1% farming bonus to their commander, upto a maximum of 5% Having a commander gives you a bonus 2.5% to your income.

RE: QuickStart Guide.
Looking at the quickstart guide, i feel it could do with a bit of updating. A lot of people have been asking about the next campaign. I have not yet set a date, however i expect it will be early to mid November.

Some people complained that the white text on recon reports was hard to read; i agreed and have changed it to blue text - this should be a lot easier to read.
Also, the bug affecting rankings seems to kick in when stats end with more than 3 0's (for example 12000000) i'm working on a solution to this but for now if your stats get ranked strangely train a man or buy a weapon to reduce the number of 0's on the end.

New campaign has started and i've added a few new features to the game. They can both be accessed via the attack menu.
First is Alliance rankings, Alliances are now ranked based on a simple formula taking into account the combined rank of all their members.
Second is Previous campain rankings, the rankings of all previous age 2 campaigns can be seen via this link.

Thanks to all who voted for the new campaign date, there was a wide spread of results with the biggest two options being next week and at the end of the month. As a compromise between the two i've decided to edn the campaign in two weeks time on the weekend of the 22nd/23rd of September.
